Description
Practice Resources, LLC (PRL) is seeking Check Posters for multiple accounts. PRL is a premier medical billing and practice management company centrally located in downtown Syracuse. Responsibilities:
  • Post all Insurance payments received, this includes EFT’s and manual payments. 
  • Post all Zeropay remits and Incentive payments and charges to the correct provider/location.  Confirm payments in Payspan and Optum.
  • Review all exceptions/denials during posting and take the appropriate write offs when necessary
  • Responsible for reviewing the approved and expected amounts for fee schedules and notify supervisors/managers with discrepancies
  • Knowledge and experience with Explanation of Benefits received via paper and how to apply the payments when they have already been posted as credits
  • Maintain the unapplied account to ensure we are posting unidentified EFTs to the correct account
  • Identify Insurance company issues/ trends across multiple accounts and bring to supervisor for further investigation
Requirements

All potential candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalency required, along with strong communication, organizational and computer skills. Knowledge of Medent, Healthpac, NextGen and Epic preferred.  One year of experience in Check Posting experience preferred
